And as in life, so in writing, if what is written is rooted in the place from where you arise your perspective will keep providing insight to the one/s who need it. Even one, I tell myself, even my own self as one - is good enough when it comes to insight. You cannot have that in everything you write - just like you cannot have the best performance in exercise everyday - what matters most is that in the sum total of things, it is there - this big ball of insight tying disparate things together.

“No, not today!” Maya popped the switch of the smoking toaster out of its socket. She knew something was wrong when the toaster had spewed blackened bread all of last week. She sagged onto the floor, sobbing.

He’d gifted the toaster on their first anniversary. Last night, her husband of fifteen years had moved out.
